Hemp Fibre Corrugated Sheets
Margent Corrugated Hemp Fibres are returning to full production! Hurray!
Our hemp sheets are a sumptuous natural alternative to other corrugated materials used in construction. They can feature externally to form rain-screen cladding or internally for other aesthetically beautiful and acoustic treatments.
The fast growing hemp fibres sequester carbon and when using these materials in products they lock the carbon in. The high cellulose content (60 - 70%) of the plant makes it a very strong and durable material.
Using thermal compression the non-woven fibre sheets are bound together with a resin made from agricultural waste corn cob, oat hulls, Bagasse, etc. This creates the reddy-brown hue. The product is natural and like timber when exposed externally to direct, unprotected UV light the sheets will merge back to their original hemp straw tone.
They will now be available through our sister company Margent Form.
In the meantime and for large panel order inquiries (500 sheets or more) please contact us here.
